Biography:

Hello there!

Welcome to my corner at CMET website. My name's David H. Villamor and I am a PhD student at Prof. Korneel Rabaey's lab, namely MECaT (Microbial ElectroCatalysis Team).

I studied Biology at Salamanca's university (USAL) in Spain. Following my interests, I specialized myself doing the master's degree in "Environmental and Industrial Biotechnology" at UCM - Madrid. Remarkably, I was able to perform my Master's Thesis at Imperial College London.

My PhD project at UGent is included in the field of Microbial Electrochemistry in which I try to shed extra light to the phenomenon of Extracellular Electron Transfer (EET) in relation to the human microbiome. My copromotor is Prof. Tom Van de Wiele and I am guided by Dr. Antonin Prévoteau.

See you around!
