Dr. Patricia Ruiz Ruiz

I was born in Navojoa, Sonora, a small city in the north of Mexico. During my PhD, I investigated the use of co-cultures of methanotrophic bacteria with microalgae for CH4 and CO2 mitigation, coupled to microbial protein production. I am a postdoctoral researcher at CMET working in the full valorization of biogas through the use of methanotrophs combined with microalgae (methalgae) to obtain high-value products. Always amazed by the power of microorganisms, mostly of my beloved methanotrophs.
