CMET sustainability award 2017

CMET encourages thesis students to reflect on sustainability within their master thesis. An award is given to the student with the most in-depth and relevant proposal to improve sustainability in the lab. This year, Michiel Van Tendeloo was awarded the sustainability award for his thesis, in which he reflected on how to decrease our 'plastic footprint' in the lab. He proposed new ideas on how to reduce the use of plastic materials in the lab, by introducing some to-the-point sensitization campaigns.
